I haven't posted in a little while! The Queen tribute concert with Queen For A Day was incredible! We raised almost $1300 for Giving Hope, Inc. in Denton, and we truly enjoyed playing together. What an awesome night of music, local support, and fun! We are scheduled to play again for Denton's Industrial Street International Pop Music Fest on Sunday Oct 19th. Keep checking back for any future shows :)

I opened for My a Brightest Diamond at the Kessler Theater Oct 12. It was an inspiring evening. I wanna have a rock band!!!! Shara is an amazing songwriter, vocalist and musician.

Thinking about recording another album. Perhaps something a little bit different than I've ever done. And I want to do a music video. Ideas? Feel free to comment here or shoot me an email. I'd love to hear your input.

I'm keeping busy this fall with a mix of shows, and I hope to see you out and about. xoxo

It has been an exciting month gearing up for an incredible tribute show to Queen, my favorite band in the world!

QUEEN Tribute
Dan's Silverleaf, 9/5/2014
Doors at 8 PM - $10

I chose September 5th because it's Freddie Mercury's birthday. He was one of my greatest inspirations as a kiddo - a great rock singer/songwriter/performer, glamorous personality, humanitarian, and he also had an overbite, so I felt like we had something in common :-)

And to put the cherry on top...I have the honor of playing this music with members of Dallas-based Queen For A Day, an incredible tribute band!

I've always wanted to perform an evening of his music. It will give me a chance to step outside of my box, and I hope you'll attend! All proceeds will go to Giving Hope, Inc., as they integrate an HIV Program into their homeless outreach services.

Check in at www.danssilverleaf.com and here at my site - details will be up soon!!!

Here's a vid of me performing my favorite Freddie Mercury song...

Very excited to announce that I have a new album!

But....it is not yet available online or on iTunes...I know....this gal has been a little bit busy hopping around the country, and I haven't yet done an official release :-)

However, if you happen to be at a live show, I am carrying around physical copies for the time being, and hope very soon to be able to announce a live performance in support of my new effort!

Recorded, mixed, and mastered in Nashville, it includes some of my friends and favorite players! It was such a fun, wonderful experience for me, and I was able to record some original music, as well as some classic tunes near and dear to my heart.

Stay tuned for more info!

True Love (And Other Embarrassing Realities)

I was waiting to play the other night (actually waiting on my brother, Glenn, to show up, as he was thirty minutes late to the gig. Luckily it was very laid back) and I stared for a moment at my beautiful Scandalli accordion, Gino. I realized how much I love that thing.

For as long as I can remember, I have had a more intimate connection with my accordion than with any other instrument I play (or relationship for that matter, ahem, haha). When I move, it moves with me. It is pressed close to my body and I can actually feel the vibrations of the notes. Yes, I suppose I love it. And it is always there for me, in a constant state of waiting for me to pick it up and do our thing. That lovely chunk of celluloid, wood, and aluminum has stayed by my side through cross-country miles, flights, bands, relationships, parties, gigs, wine, music, songs, tears, living situations, cities, and heartache. Oh, little accordion, you're the best friend I've ever had.  xo
