Welcome to The History of Western Swing lecture series! If you have a hankering to learn more about Western Swing music and its ties to Fort Worth - its very birthplace - you've landed in the right spot.
We enjoyed four sessions, Tuesday nights, plenty laid back, and full of fun and information.
The course is open to musicians and non-musicians alike! At times, I brought in professional Western Swing musicians to demonstrate key elements of the genre (and we did some pickin') but don't be discouraged if you don't play an instrument.
This series is designed for everyone! Please enjoy and feel free to let me know what you thought!

If you are interested in a similar course for your organization, institution, or as a condensed lecture engagement, please reach me at [email protected].

In the meantime, I've begun compiling some resources on Western Swing and Texas heritage music, as well as events and history.
